This is a good introduction to the North Island of New Zealand and with two, two night stays you won't feel that you are rushing! Auckland is 'the city of sails' and there is much to see and do here, wander around the harbour and sample some fine seafood or visit the Sky Tower and see it from high above. The next day you are off north to the beautiful Bay of Islands where you have plenty of time to experience this stunning area. From Cape Brett and the 'Hole in the Rock' to secluded bays and swimming on deserted sandy beaches. Then back to Auckland for another taste of this exciting city before heading to Waitomo Caves and then on to Rotorua for two nights. Here you will enjoy an evening of Maori culture and enterainment and also a guided visit to the geothermal valley and you will marvel at the hot springs, mud pools and geysers! Journey to Taupo and see the Huka Falls before heading to Wellington, capital of New Zealand. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Wellington in the morning, take in the panoramic views from Mt. Victoria and also visit Te Papa, the Museum of New Zealand, which is well worth a visit. This trip offers just a taste of this scenic country.
