The Best of the South East – Journey along the world famous ‘Great Ocean Road’ where you’ll see the twelve apostles, surfing spots at Torquay & Bells Beach and an evening in the whale watching capital of Warrnambool. Tower Hill State Game Reserve is a native wildlife haven located in a dormant volcano and the first stop for our tours second day. We travel along the scenic coastline to South Australia, skirting the lower Glenelg National Park and into Mount Gambier where you’ll view the mysterious Blue Lake. Heading north to Coorong with its National Park and a bush walk guided by a local aboriginal, expressing the importance of the major migratory bird habitat. Then its through to Meningie, located on the shores of Lake Albert en route to the city of Adelaide. Enjoy the picturesque Victor Harbour before a ferry crossing to Kangaroo Island, a guided tour at Seal Bay lets you enjoy the Australian Sea Lion and a sightseeing adventure to the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch permit great photo opportunities. A ferry ride back to Cape Jervis and off through the Adelaide Hills stopping at the Whispering Wall and onto the Barossa Valley – taking time out for the panoramic views from Mengler Lookout before wine tasting at Chateau Yaldara and a sunset overlooking the Barossa Valley. Onward to Mildura and the Murray River before bidding farewell to your tour director at Bendigo.
