While you might find hustle and bustle in the bazaars of Cairo, it is certainly not to be found aboard your stylish Nile cruiser. With seven nights to relax while you glide down the Nile, this tour could quite possibly be one of the most graceful holidays you will ever experience.
On arriving in Cairo you have two nights to enjoy this amazing city before heading to Luxor for your seven night cruise up the Nile. While in Cairo you be taken to the Citadel for the wonderful views over Cairo and visit the Great Mosque. In the afternoon you will visit the Egyptian Museum where there is much to see and do. Later, drive to the Pyramids to witness the magical Sound and Light show which literally illuminates the ancient history of Giza. The next day you catch a flight to Luxor where you will immediately be take to Karnak, the largest temple complex ever built by man. From there to your cruise ship and get to know it before dinner. The next morning you will cruise along to the Temple of Dendara, one of the best preserved temples in the whole of Egypt. Then you will cruise back to Luxor and visit the ancient Temple of Luxor in the cool of the evening. As you travel up the Nile to Esna and Edfu there is much to see, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Valley of the Kings. You will see the well-preserved Temple of Horus and continue to Aswan. Take a motorboat to the Island of Philae and see the Temple of Isis, before visiting the High Dam and the Granite Quarries with the unfinished obelisk.The next morning you can take an optional tour to Abu Simbel, this is well worth the money and is one of the major highlights of any trip to Egypt, it is simply amazing. Cruising along the Nile is an experience not to be missed, it is relaxing and interesting watching the world go by. You will arrive back in Luxor in time for some last minute shopping and the next morning you will disembark your ship and fly to Cairo. A detailed sightseeing tour will take you to Memphis, the famous capital of the ancient world. Admire the colossal statue of Rameses II and the great alabaster sphinx. Continue to Sakkara to see the Step pyramid of King Zoser. In the afternoon enjoy a detailed tour of the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. What a way to end this wonderful adventure.
