Walk through the avenue of the Ram-headed sphinxes, past the statue of Rameses II to stand in awe amoung the huge columns of the vast Hypostyle Hall. The next day you cruise down the Nile where you will visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and then on the the Valley of the Kings. Then once back on board you will cruise upstream to Esna and Edfu. On Day 7 you can take an optional excursion to the temples of Abu Simbel and this is very worthwhile, a highlight of any trip to Egypt. Then transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo where you will spend another two nights. On this last full day you will enjoy a guided tour of Giza where you will see the enigmatic Sphinx and the magnificent Pyramids with a highlight visit inside one of these extraordinary creations.
