Powerhouse Museum
Museum
At any one time you can see only a small fraction of the total collection of over 380,000 items which the Powerhouse Museum has aquired over the last 125 years. However, the gems are always on display, including some of the oldest steam engines in the world, a model of Strasbourg Cathedral's clock and displays of aircraft, satellites and space suits. There are also displays of Aboriginal culture, musical instruments, the golden years of cinema, clothing and fashion, plus specialist exhibitions. The museum also provides visitors with a restaurant, cafe and shops. The main focus of the Powerhouse Museum is on science and design which makes the museum one of the most exciting and interesting places to visit in Sydney.
