Constructed between 1959 and 1973, and designed by Danish architect Jorn Utzon, the famous Sydney Opera House is one of the world's most recognisable buildings. There's a lot more to the Opera House than opera - over 2500 performances a year encompass everything from jazz to plays and dance, and some are free.
